This game is dead.

Regardless of how many subscribers you claim to have, from observation one can clearly see that you have lost the majority of your customer base over the years.

Perhaps it's not quite dead yet, but this game is well on its way. You don't give a %*#* about balancing PvP, raids are made boring and easy for the casuals, to the point they can be easily pugged and nobody feels any sense of accomplishment after having done so. The loot systems are retarded and you rely on connections more than skill or knowledge of the game. Countless times I've topped damage meters and stayed alive for the entire encounter, only to have gear ninja looted to 'hawt girls' and 'best friends' who pull below 1k dps and die once a boss. The loot system is fail and does not reward people based on skill, nor does arena as it is imbalanced and caters to people who spend time to roll the FOTM to 80 in a month.

Finally, the big giveaway that this game is dying is the fact that you are cheesing out on your servers. Multiple people disconnect during a given raid. Out of my last 30 arena matches or so, I've disconnected 4 times. I've made countless tickets, you tell me it's the fault of my ISP. No it's not the fault of my ISP, I play many other online games and I have not disconnected from them since I switched to my current provider. My ISP does a much better job satisfying me than you do. It's a problem with your network, take responsibility for being cheap and own up to the problems that you have created. I would expect a company that makes so much money to be on par with microsoft servers, but you fall sub-par in comparison to start up korean MMORPGS.

I've played this game since the initial beta and feel I have experienced the fall of enough games to recognize one's downfall. Customer service is always the Achilles heel of popular games, and it seems now that you are shirking your duties and neglecting to listen to your customers it has finally bitten you in the ass. This game which I have put ridiculous amounts of both money and time into has now become the biggest steaming pile of %*#* imaginable. I'm truly sorry to have helped fund this game for such a long period of time, and only hope that other people can come to their senses and realize that there are much better options available now.

To the community, don't bother trolling me. If you can't recognize an alt, you are probably too inexperienced to be justified to comment. This community is another one of the reasons why this game is not an enjoyable experience.

While critical analysis of World of Warcraft game play and its community is generally welcomed, you'll need to find a new place to vent vitriolic and inflammatory remarks.

After having written what I did above, it's interesting to note that the community is merely a collection of individuals like you... and me too. :)
