What goes on there? A lot of you guys must play and I can't imagine that you're playing in a guild on a general population server (are you even allowed?).

Oh and what mods do you use?

We play the same as anyone else and are on the live realms with everyone else. We are not able to auto-level ourselves, give ourselves gear, or anything else that a normal player can't do. :) No, we can't tell you who we are or where to find us.

I'm also currently not using any mods.

I hope you're not raiding with me then.

I don't intend for this to be something that starts people arguing, but I've been raiding since the first raids were begun and have been able to excel without the use of mods that others felt were "must haves" in order to do well. The interface has also continued to improve as we've added more capabilities into it, so I find there isn't anything that I "must" have in order to continue to play as I like.

I have played while using and not using mods alike. It gives me a chance to see what different mods people are making and it also keeps me grounded in what things the current default UI does well and what things could be improved upon so that those that choose not to use mods can still be competitive.

Well when you are raiding do you introduce strats or are you passive and hope the players you are playing with finally figure out how to kill the boss.

I try to give helpful advice on what I believe will work when it's needed. I generally try not to take a leadership role when I don't have to. I've been in that role many times before though and have no problem taking it on when I need to.

painfully obvious you don't play a class w/ any sorts of dots/diseases/anything. lemme guess....raiding frost mage? ret pally?

Bad guess.

I'm the one that "accidentally" dropped the heal after you pulled aggro ... again. ;p

Also, for those that might have suggestions on the UI, you can either discuss it in the UI forum or post in the Suggestion forum.

Keep in mind that when we add new features to the User Interface, we have to keep in mind that adding complexity to it, makes it more difficult for newer players to understand it. This is often why some features need to be turned on before they can be used. This way, you've consciously made the choice to learn and use these features.

Q u o t e:
Oh so when new content comes you don't actually know 100% how to clear the dungeon like the rest of us?

We get to experience these dungeons the same as anyone else, and knowing an encounter and being able to work to overcome one as a team (as you know) are often two different things. :)

Just as an fyi former FPS and RTS player prior to MMOs so I mouse/keyboard combo. Again though, not the best discussion to get onto.

That's entirely understandable there Neth, however basic accessibility features for those with visual disability should have been in there from the start. I know if I was just starting this game and hadn't known about the UI modding that was available and stuff I'd dismiss the game simply on the fact I can't see the default UI, I can't read the chat, I can't read the combat log.. etc. Detracts from the enjoyment of the game, seriously. Ive suggested these things to death and none of them have gotten implimented. It's kind of depressing. So many improvements made, yet the last one in reference to a disability is one made for something less common than poor vision. There are more people in this country alone that have poor vision than there are that are color blind. :P

It takes time to implement major changes such as these, but don't take that to mean we don't want to do them or don't plan to continue to improve on the UI functionality when and where we can.

Q u o t e:
Horde or Alliance?

Both.

Q u o t e:
How does it work when Blizzard put on the "Blizzard vs Players" events in WSG or AB?
Do you just make clones of your real chars with different names or are they premades?

We only do this on the PTR and when we do, we usually use premades. We don't use our real characters, it would be too easy for you to track us back to our secret lair!

Thx =D

Ooh one more question.
If you use a normal version of the game how do you get around the Name filter to use your CM names? Or do you have a GM do it for you?

We don't use our forum names in game. ;) Otherwise we'd never actually get to play. lol

I think they mean the blizzard vs player thing on the PTR.

Those you could use forum names safely on, no? Since its a special event and all.

Oh yeah. We use them on the PTR. :) We can force the name if we have to.

Q u o t e:
If that is true, then tell me, how does THESE people play the game? Do they disable whispers?

None of those people are us, and I'd hope no one is harassing them in game thinking they are.
