Warlock Dreadsteed Mount Quest

I just worked on this quest for 5 hours today. So far I have spent 50 gold on elixirs and 50 gold on rocks and shards. Then I had to buy a vendor reagent for 150 gold. After doing this and a couple of other time sink quests they are trying to send me to scholomance. So i get mad and start telling people in chat about. They tell me that I can buy the mount from the vendor for 12 gold at 61. This is an EPIC FAILURE on the part of blizzard for not just removing this quest from the game and allowing warlocks to buy it at 60 for that price. I am going to open an in-game petitionand I think you owe me my 300 gold back. That was the most ridiculous POS quest ever and it has no point being in the game anymore.

EDIT: I was saving money by not upgrading all my spells so I would have enough money to get mount training. I don't have limitless cash. I had to borrow the money to do this quest b/c I thought I had to do it to get my mount. I didn't see the patch notes b/c I just started playing this game again after an extended break. i guess i wasn't around for that patch and don't feel I should have to slog through a series of notes just to figure out how to lay this game.

I'm sorry, Abnagazar, but this isn't the complaints forum and many of the responses you've received thus far are in reaction to the tone of your posts. This is a forum for players to seek assistance with a variety of in-game issues, as stated by the very first sticky.

The quest remains in the game because some of us like to do quests, even ones you personally may feel are not worth it.

If you would like to see a change to how this quest works or that it is even offered you'll want to post in the Suggestion Forum. I understand that it may have been confusing giving the conflicting information that you apparently received from other players. I highly recommend reviewing some of the great fan sites out there, they have a wealth of information out there that can assist you.

It is unlikely that we'll be able to provide you reimbursement for the gold you have spent on the quest line, it never hurts to ask but I thought I would prepare you.
