Voidwalker got me killed

I was in Ghostlands in the dead scar, sicked my void on a mob afetr I dotted it up. My void, for some reason, hit the mob then went halfway across the dead scar to fight it, aggroing FIVE more mobs, that then came onto me. This isn't the first time and it's becoming odd. Like my void aggroing, then pulling the mob back behind me as I'm wanding. What's going on? Is a GM controlling my voidwalker and making it run around?

No, a Game Master is not controlling your voidwalker.

It is important to understand how some pets work as well as some mobs. In certain cases when you send your pet after a mob your pet will try to get behind the mob or the mob will continually try to get behind your pet, this triggers a fun little dance that will sometimes cause both of them to run farther away from you.

Part of the challenge of playing a class that has a pet is remaining in control of that pet. If it starts to do this dance call it back into range.

I hoped it was a joke, Dwell, but I've had enough people who were serious when they said such a thing. :D

As soon as they start dancing I will usually recall my pet for a second or two then tell it to attack again.

Inígo, I completely understand your frustration. I'm not saying that our Developers are completely happy with how this works at the moment, frankly I wouldn't have any idea how they feel about it.

I can only recommend that you post in the Suggestion Forum if you believe it should be changed or the Bug Report Forum if you wish Quality Assurance to be made aware of your views on this.
