You mentioned yourselves that you don't like where warlocks, shamans, and hunters are at at the moment. I'm not talking about the recent patch notes. But for the last 2 weeks I have seen nothing but blue posts about Paladins, hunters and shamans. The patch notes hit and it's those three. Some changes to druids and also lots to DKs again.

You have some changes to warlocks, but their not PvP changes. Fel Dom is nice (we've been asking for it long enough). But it doesn't change too much. It doesn't effect the warlock himself and if it ever needs to be used a second time quickly...it's going to be well before 3 minutes. All it really changes is random pet deaths in raid. Im a little concerned as well by the fact that deep demo damage is already bad, and it's only going to get worse now.

I get sidetracked :) point is. There Where changes there.... which makes it seem like maybe that is it (were destro/aff dps issues that important over demo dps or warlock survival in general?). Are there any intentions of improving warlock survival? Even if you are focusing on hunters shamans and paladins (now recently DKs and Druids), there is no reason why you can't let other classes know there might be something to look forward to.

You can attach your customary 'not a promise' tag to your quote, since that seems to be in favour at the momement for blue posts, and you don't need to comment on shards, no warlocks are expecting any changes there. Don't even need to say what it is.... just "we would like to improve warlock survival". Yous tated earlier you didn;t like where they are, but apaprently that doesn't always translate to 'we want to do something to fix that'.

We think warlock representation is too low in Arenas. One solution to that is to nerf classes that counter them, which we have done.

We gave pets resilience and spell pen, which is a pretty significant change that affects one of the lock's biggest weaknesses. The Fel Dom change will help here too.

The resilience change is also a small relative buff to warlock damage. Your damage won't change all that much in PvP, while other classes will go down. Furthermore, as the average length of matches increases, classes with lots of sustainability can benefit, and locks don't typically have mana problems.

Player have a tendency to weigh class changes based on the number of bullets after their class name. Glass half-empty types see long lists of nerfs. But the quantity of the changes is usually unimportant.

Q u o t e:
GC, i gotta ask. What classes do you see as the locks counter class? The general belief in the forums is that the rogue is the largest counter class and they did not receive any pvp nerfs, nor did locks receive anything to deal with rogues.

The implication of several of these responses is that locks would be at the top of the charts if it weren't for rogues, which is an argument I don't buy. Locks were there complaining with everyone else about dying to cleave teams, which have typically been DK, warrior or Ret of late.
