I'm upgrading my iPhone 3G to an iPhone 3G S tomorrow, and I'm already using the mobile authenticator on my iPhone 3G. Is there a procedure to transfer my authenticator to the new iPhone? Should I remove the authenticator from my account before I switch and add it back after?

Anyone know the proper procedure for moving the mobile authenticator between devices?

Did you happen to receive an email concerning this transition, Azmodeus? If you have not checked the email address registered to the Battle.net account, be sure to do so. It will provide brief information on how to address the upgrade.

Keep in mind, removing the authenticator may jeopardize the security of the account. You may wish to jot down the Mobile Authenticator serial number prior to the upgrade in the event of any complications. This will make it easier if the issue needs to be addressed with Billing and Account Services.

Further information on troubleshooting the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator can be found here:

Forgive me, Azmodeus, as I am not entirely familiar with the functionality of the iPhone. You may wish to contact Apple directly or even your cell phone provider for tips on keeping your applications intact. You may also wish to back up your current device and transfer the data to the new phone when it is received. Doing so, should keep the application intact.

Please take the time to write down the serial number and keep it someplace secure. You may need it in the event you need to contact us.
