We are currently performing urgent maintenance on the realms listed below to resolve a hardware issue. We currently have no estimate for the duration of the maintenance. We will provide additional information at 8:00PM PDT.

We are aware of the issues currently affecting the Retaliation battlegroup, and we deeply apologize if you are currently affected. We'll work to get these realms back up and running smoothly as swiftly as we possibly can.

If you are uncertain if you are on the Retaliation battlegroup, it is comprised of the following realms:

We simply aren't in a position to provide details, Naerdiel. This isn't a function of respect, and I'm sorry that you're choosing to interpret it as such.

Those who are in the midst of attempting to resolve these issues do not have time to issue full reports regarding the issue while they're attempting to resolve it. The internal function of our realms isn't subject matter fit for public consumption in any case, for a variety of reasons from liability to security.

We're going to resolve this issue as swiftly as we can. We will not provide the details regarding what went wrong, or how we are going about resolving it though. I know that would be satisfying for some, but that is just the way it is.

I have no doubt that there are those who will be up in arms about this post, but I'd prefer to be as up front as possible. We'll get the realms up as soon as we can and attempt to resolve this matter for the long term.

I will, however, provide any and all information I can, as soon as I get it (in fact, I have the next update in the next post). Thank you for your patience in the face of a very frustrating situation.

It certainly wasn't intended to be. Please accept my personal apology if you were offended. I merely wanted to make a clear post that directly addressed the issue as quickly as I could.

In a situation like this, it's more likely to be a scenario where it appears externally as though the same issue is arising over and over again, when instead something develops an issue, is resolved, then something new and different develops an issue and so on and so forth.

I know you guys are upset, and I certainly can understand your position. Thank you for bearing with us.

I'm just sorry that I don't have a solid ETA for you guys. I've been in the same boat, and being unable to play, especially having a raid interrupted... I know where you're all coming from.

We'll find out what the state of things is around 8:00pm PST. Hopefully it will be good news.

That's understandable.

I feel it necessary to point out that those updates, in the language that some may find distastefully 'cut and paste' are the updates from the technicians themselves, and follow a standard format.

Is it pretty? No, and I'm sorry about that, but it does reflect the information that is available, and it is quoted from the Service Status forum for that reason.

You've made some distressing and grossly inaccurate allusions in your postings, Dagard. I'm fine with players expressing their frustrations as long as it abides by the forum code of conduct.

Semi-veiled insults directed at our staff and vague accusations of conspiracy, however, are not welcome and I will treat further comments of that nature as trolling. I ask that you please refrain.

Edit: Scratch that. It looks like there are still some realms that are having issues, and they will remain under observation for resolution.

I just logged into each Retaliation realm, and they should be up.

It appears that Grizzly Hills, Terokkar and Auchindoun had short term persistent issues, though.

I understand that there are a few realms still experiencing some trouble with this. I wanted to let you all know that we are aware of the continued difficulties that you are having, and that we are still working on a solid resolution to get everyone back into uninterrupted game-play. I know that you all are eager to get back to playing on a Friday night, and I assure you that we are doing our best to make that so. Please remember, though, that if you wish to continue posting here that you are required to stay within the Forum Code of Conduct.

    Apologies for the delayed update. These Realms are currently live, however we are investigating a possible issue with stability. Thank you for your patience while we address the matter.


Again, I would like to reassure you all that we are still looking into this issue. If you have any questions regarding compensation I ask that you, please, direct them to our Community team over on the General forum. They are the only ones that would be announcing such things.
