F1, Command, Alt, Control buttons not working

I have been playing WoW on my PC for a long time. I just recently bought a new 20" iMac and got WoW to play on it.

The problem I'm finding is that my F1 through F12 keys are set up for Mac hotkeys, such as Volume Control. This causes me trouble because my F1 through F5 keys don't work properly for selecting party members.

Another issue is that my Alt key doesn't seem to work when WoW is active. I tried to set my key bindings up so that my self-target key is Alt, but the key binding tool in wow doesn't recognize the key-press. Also, Control+tab is not allowing me to switch out of WoW to other active windows.

Towateke,

For the F-keys you will need to either hold the Function key and press an F-key for it to work, or change your options in in your Keyboard & Mouse settings so that they only perform as F-keys.

As far as ALT goes it's a modifier key. You cannot assign only ALT to something, you need to assign it to ALT-*.

Thanks, Jusinkk. That's helped a lot. I'm a Mac newb.

Towateke,

Sorry I forgot to answer your last question about Alt-Tab. On OS X there is no way to do this when the game is in full-screen mode. You can however change from full-screen to windowed on the fly by pressing Command-M.
