Hello, i am wishing to upgrade my WoW Trial Account to a full WotLK account. I was looking on the blizzard online store and saw that the battle chest was US $10 cheaper and i would like to know if i could do online upgrades for that cost. I believe that it will cost higher than the battle chest so i am asking before i purchase it to try and save money as i do not have a job, i am a minor. thank you.

Q u o t e:
you can purchase the battle chest online but what is the cost for each online upgrade... such as:
Original Upgrade: $19.99
Burning Crusade Upgrade: $??.??
Wrath of the Lich King: $??.??

The Battle Chest is an item retailers sell and it's MSRP is $39.99. If you do not want to order it from our online store you could go purchase it from a local retailer and it should be around that price. That does give a bit of a discount from buying World of Warcraft and the Burning Crusade by themselves.

If you are doing the Electronic Upgrade service it uses the MSRP for each individual game, and does not give discounts for buying bundled software like the Battle Chest. The breakdown is as follows:

Original Upgrade: $19.99
Burning Crusade Upgrade: $29.99
Wrath of the Lich King: $39.99

You are more than welcome to purchase the Battle Chest to save yourself a little bit of cash. If this is your first time playing then you may also find the included strategy guides to be useful as well :)

Do you get any free game time with the BC or WOTLK upgrades?

I'm afraid not, Demonthesis. Free game time is only provided with the original World of Warcraft game purchase.

In the future, however, if you have a question, feel free to create a new thread rather than resurrect one that is over a year old. =) You may also want to ensure you are sorting threads by 'Latest Reply' on the right side of the list of threads to make sure you're looking at the more recent ones.

Locking to let a zombie rest. ;)
