Issue with Badge Refund

Today I purchased (1) Gloves of the Lost Protector token for 60 Badges of Heroism from the corresponding vendor in Dalaran. I had chosen the warrior dps gloves and had socketed/enchanted accordingly.

However, around an hour later, I was browsing the Auction House and found Zeliek's Gauntlets for a fairly good price and decided to purchase them and refund the Tier 7 gloves since I still had roughly and hour and twelve minutes left on the new refund feature.

When I went to refund the gloves, which I had spent roughly 100g on gemming/enchanting, I only got the token back, which I had expected since I had bought the gloves with the token that I had purchased for 60 Badges of Heroism. However, I then tried to refund the token, but all I got was 5g in return rather than the 60 badges I had spent getting it.

How come this can not be done? I am now left with a token for tier 7 gloves which I had spent 60 badges on but don't really have any option for spending it. I don't wish to purchase tanking gloves and I don't have any other tanking gear.

Is there anything else that I can do? Or am I simply out of luck?

This was all done on this character that I am posting on, I am not sure why it states that I am level 51.

The purpose of the restoration system is to fix mistakes, not counter buyer's remorse.

I'm afraid Stroustrup is correct. You would have had up to 2 hours to exchange the Gloves of the Lost Protector you purchased if you believed you made an error. By redeeming it for another item you indicated that the initial purchase was not in error. The next item you purchased had the option of refund for up to 2 hours which you could have had refunded if you picked up the wrong item.

I am sorry, Sidonius, you can submit an in-game petition but I can not guarantee that we will be able to assist you in this case.
