Why are the punishments for revealing someone's real life identity on these boards more severe than sexism or racism?

Really? Are we so shy and insecure that harassment is a lesser offense than speaking someone's rl name?

Because this isn't the place to reveal that information, this is a forum for a game. In the case where that information is revealed by someone other than the real life individual, then that person can be adversely effected by that information.

Either way, it's against the CoC for good reasons. Respect them and the CoC and keep that information to yourself.
