Rawr? Rawr.

Okay, try roaring like a mountain lion or a jaguar. Out loud.

This should be an endless source of hilarity for co-workers/family members.

Is there a Blue, to ask a semi on topic question in regards to moderation?

Sure, Thunderwulf.

Hiya Vrak! :)

How was the drive today? :)

It wasn't bad at all, actually. I even left the house late and still got here a little early. :D

I usually remove it if I notice it. I hope I haven't missed any lately.

You can report the use of the term, Thunderwulf, it is certainly not an appropriate to be directed at someone.

While we're on the subject, Do the GMs actually read the post reports. Because I've quite often reported something but it wasn't until I brought it up in the thread or in OT that it was removed.

I don't very often no. The Moderation Team reviews the reports, we usually just scan the threads we are responding to. I'll usually take a closer look at a post that has been reported though. :)

Well that's kind of useless. I was under the impression the reports made in this forum go into a separate queue you guys can see.

We can see them, Dave but we review more posts as they happen than we would see if we just went through those reports.

I am having a serious deja vu on this one, I am almost positive that we've discussed it before. :)

Q u o t e:

A former Blue made a post stating (paraphrasing here, not verbatim) "No one sees the reports but those of who work this Forum, vendettas will not be allowed".

So, I ( and perhaps others) was/am under the impression that reports here go directly to the Blues in the Forum and not the Mod Squad.

Both teams can see the reports if they wish but we are usually left to moderate this forum on our own, Thunderwulf. We periodically go through the reports but in most cases we spot the inappropriate post as we are reviewing and addressing the threads here.

Personally a bio-hazarded post draws my attention so I still encourage the use of the system but the main method of moderation is pro-active.

Aren't you and the others one of the first to point out that this is one of the most heavily moderated forums? It isn't because we are specifically looking at the reports, it's because we are looking at the threads.

The reports serve to take care of any potential issues we may have missed while reviewing the threads.

I hope you don't think I was criticizing yours or a team mates moderation.

I don't, Thunderwulf, you know I have the utmost respect for you and most of the time for your posting. <3

I phrased something badly in my first response and did not get as specific as I should have and I seem to be playing catch up from that.

We are, for the most part, the sole moderators of this forum. The Mod squad can review the reports our forum receives though they rarely do, if ever.

The reports made through the bio-hazard symbol are reviewed and they are valued and appreciated. Some of us tend to actively moderate more than we review the specific reports made.

When scanning through a thread, if a post has been reported and it isn't perfectly evident as to why the reporter believes it to be against the code of conduct I'll usually hunt down the report and review it.

However, as I have said, I personally tend to pro-actively moderate.

Does all this make sense or am I babbling at this point? O.o
