I have some news that will hopefully alleviate some of your concerns. The current plan is to implement the "coin toss" for Strand of the Ancients in the next major content patch. We know it's been a long time coming, but the solution to the issues preventing us from originally randomizing who starts on offense/defense is in the works right now.

Zarhym in theory if someone were doing a battleground during patch 3.2 might they see the purple/blue bar at the bottom of their screen move when they kill another player?

You're sneaky, you.

Any plans do do this for other battle grounds such as WSG, AV, and EOTS?

I don't follow.

Or any plans to give the Horde base an overhaul. Watching the Relief Hut being capped while I haven't even reached their bridge is a bit disappointing. They also bypass all of our NPCs and are barely even targeted by our archers. Horde archers don't even have LoS on the Relief Hut. On their end, I'm getting struck by 3-8 archers the whole way down, and even while trying to take the Aid Station.

Edit: Alliance can kill our archers through the walls in the towers too, isn't that exploiting?

As far as I'm aware, there are not any changes to the terrain and layout of Alterac Valley in the next patch. Simply swapping which faction gets what base won't be an option at this point either.
