Old CD key ? Battle Net Merge

When I try to merge my accounts it wants to OLD CD key, can I use the one from WOLK or do I need the original CD key, Years ago I had lost those and had a buddie slipstream me a DVD from his CD's but I do not have the old code from the packaging.

It sounds like you may have accidentally stumbled upon the part of account management used for adding legacy games to your Battle.net account such Starcraft, or Warcraft III. Fortunately, you will not need to verify the authentication keys for World of Warcraft when merging it with your Battle.net account.
