Q u o t e:
So you can no longer grant levels to a friend just standing in Orgrimmar and doing nothing?
I'm not certain what you mean, Kaevek, if you are on the Recruited account and the character has levels to grant you can grant them to a character on the Veteran account that qualifies.
Q u o t e:
But as long as you're partied with them they'll gain triple experience as long as they're not killing gray monsters?
If you are on a linked account and you and your friend's characters are within 4 levels of one another, are grouped, in close proximity to one another you should receive triple experience if the quests/encounters you complete are not considered trivial to either of you.
Q u o t e:
Can I be on my level 80 and do instances with the recruited friend's low level character and they'll still get the triple experience or do I have to make a new character to level with them?
You must be within 4 levels of your friend in order to receive triple experience.

Q u o t e:
So I can get on my level 80 Mage and my friend can make a level 1 Warrior, I go up to him at the Valley of Trials and can level him up to 55 so he can make his Death Knight?
Only characters on the Recruited account earn levels to grant to characters on the Veteran account.
