I wanted to ask about the situation with Patches. They happen fairly regularly and often things go smoothly from our end at least; but when you do a fresh install of WoW I don't know if Blizzard realises just how many patches must be downloaded, and installed before you can play.
As things stand now I have to install:
Classic WoW
Burning Crusade
Wrath of the Lich King
WoW-3.0.1.8874-to-3.0.2.9056-enUS-patch
WoW-3.0.2.9056-to-3.0.3.9183-enUS-patch
WoW-3.0.3.9183-to-3.0.8.9464-enUS-patch
WoW-3.0.8.9464-to-3.0.8.9506-enUS-patch
WoW-3.0.8.9506-to-3.0.9.9551-enUS-patch
WoW-3.0.9.9551-to-3.1.0.9767-enUS-patch
WoW-3.1.0.9767-to-3.1.1.9806-enUS-patch
WoW-3.1.1.9806-to-3.1.1.9835-enUS-patch
WoW-3.1.1.9835-to-3.1.2.9901-enUS-patch
WoW-3.1.2.9901-to-3.1.3.9947-enUS-patch
After doing this I then have to download and install 10 seperate patches before being able to play, now if things keep going at this rate, before whatever the next expansion is comes out its going to be 10+ patches + an additional expansion, its getting kind of rediculious I think at this rate, and my question to Blizzard is: Can you please simplify the patching process, for example push a small patch with the most recent changes which you are already doing but in ADDITION please also make and maintain a master patch which is 1 executable file which you can download that does *everything* rather than us having to download and install so many small patches?
Thanks in advance for your response.
