Paid Character Transfer Issues.

I understand that you are just looking for an update, and most of the posts prior to the one I responded to (the one where the title was changed) are fine. I am looking into getting more info on this, please just remain patient. I will give you any info I am able to as soon as I can. :0)

Nuzzler, I have never heard of a case of a player’s character simply up and leaving, with no trace, due to a character transfer. We have logs of your character, and should be able to verify its existence, if ever that became an issue. So, I would not fear that happening.

Rico, might I remind you that most Game Master(s) at some point or another were simply a player (I say most cause there are a few that were here prior to release). That being the case, we have all “been in a position like this” and felt what it is like to be a player, and not have enough information. Even while paying our $14.99 a month. :0/

Alright, Camouflage. Let's go through a check list, as it appears that everyone else is able to transfer at this time.

Starting back at the beginning.

What character are you trying to transfer, and where are you trying to get to?

Camouflage, my logs show that the last transfered date for that character was 04/07/2007 (April 7th 2007) at roughly 21:19:13GMT. The Paid Character Transfer FAQ: (http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowbilling/?id=abl02008p) tells us that, "An individual character may only be transferred once every 90 days." It does appear that your character transfer should be good to go today, after 21:19:13GMT. :0/

Not a new issue, per say. Simply an unforeseen obstacle.

Well, techincally, today is the 6th. And you should be able to get it underway by the end of the 6th. Just not until a full 90days are up. Sorry, Camo.


Similarly, Hansil, I see that your last transfered date was 04/07/2007 at roughly 16:52:32 (GMT). You should be able to transfer again after the 90 day period (from April 7th at 16:52:32 (GMT)) is up.

Again, Aestrid, it looks like you are going to be in the same boat. Your last transfered date was 04/07/2007 at around 22:39:36 (GMT).

I don’t know how to take this, Krazokevin. Your transfer is giving you the same notice, that your character is not eligible? From the logs I see, it does not appear that this character has ever been transferred.

Are you simply asking for an update as to the time it may take to complete the transfer?

It should show you an estimated time, I have no way of giving any sort of accurate estimation other than this.

This issue has been forwarded to our Database Administrators for further review. Regrettably, I have no estimated time frame regarding resolution or when the Paid Character Transfer page may again be active. We hope to have this matter resolved shortly and your transfers processed as soon as possible.

Sadly, the extent of the current downtime is not information I'm able to offer at present; I can, however, offer my assurances that our server technicians, database administrators, and developers are actively analysing the underlying cause of the issue in their efforts toward resolution.

As I said, the transfers have not been "taken" offline, per se. There are some internal complications at play that are currently being looked into. :)

I wouldn't dream of it, friend; developments are still in the process of being made, and it was believed that recent efforts may have resulted in the matter being resolved. Regrettably, upon further inspection, that was found not to be the case -- however, our research continues unabated. :)

I'm afraid that, if you have been presented with the message that the transfer has failed, it shall be necessary to await further assistance from Billing during normal business hours (that is to say, Monday morning); the Game Master Department -- and, by extension, the Customer Service Forum -- is regrettably unable to provide any direct aid. I do, however, apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you and yours.
