You do not have permission to speak.

I recently decided to transfer a few of my characters over to a new account. Since there is no option to purchase a CD key online, I simply started a new trial account, and then upgraded it to a normal, BC, and finally a WotLK account.

I then transferred over this Priest. I logged in to the new account, and started questing in Hellfire. I typed in /1 (General), asking if anyone would like to do Colossal Menace, but received the message, " You do not have permission to speak."

Furthermore, I sent some items and gold from my main character on the realm over to this character. About an hour after I did this, I saw the little mail icon appear, telling me I have mail. I skipped over to the mailbox, only to find that there was nothing there. I logged in and out multiple times, only to repeatedly find no items in my mailbox.

Does anyone know what the issue may be that is causing all of these problems?

Q u o t e:
New account upgrades take about 72 hours to process and have all the "trial restrictions" lifted. That's probably what is causing the issue. It'll work itself out and you'll be able to chat/trade/mail as usual.

Correct!

I'm sorry if there was any confusion with the upgrade process, Up. The Direct Online Upgrade for an account can take anywhere between 24 to 72 hours to complete, During this time period some trial restrictions will continue to be in place including access to public chat channels.
