One alt can't click on anything in chat box

One of my alts is suddenly unable to click on anything in the chat box and receive a response. I can't click a player name to send them a /tell, can't shift-click their name to get their info, can't click on item links to see their info, can't ctrl-click item links to see them in the dressing room, can't right-click a player name to make the options menu appear, etc etc.

The functions work perfectly for all of my other characters.

I've already tried deleting the WTF/Cache folders, disabling all AddOns, and so on as the "standard procedure" suggests and running the game without any third-party applications. It still doesn't work. If memory serves, I haven't played this character since patch 3.1.2. It worked fine before. Now it doesn't.

What happened, and how can I fix it?

Did you lock your chat windows, Forumer?

You can try right clicking on either your General or Combat window and see if there is an option.

Also under the Social option in the Interface option window make sure you do not have Simple chat or Lock chat settings checked.

What size was that, exactly? On my screen I can increase the size of the chat/combat/general box to approximately 5 1/2 x 8ish.

Did you have an addon before that perhaps allowed you to exceed that dimension?
