Heirloom item and my cross faction toons

This has probably been asked before but I haven't seen it so...

Recently my guild has decided to throw some alts up on a PvE server on the ally side when not raiding. All is fun and peachy but I am curious, the heirloom leveling items I have bought (which is all the shoulders) since they are "Bound to account" does that mean any of my toons could use them? Is it possible for my horde toon to give my ally toon on a PvE server the item?

This isn't a huge deal, just a curious question. Seems odd if you can't considering they are "bound to account".

Thanks for looking. :)

This is correct. Maybe this has changed since a patch, and that's why these posts say it's not possible, because I sent the heirloom to my Tauren hUnter, then to by Dranei Shaman, and it was no problem

You are correct. As of Patch 3.3, you are now able to send Bind on Account items to characters of the opposing faction provided that they are on the same account and realm.
