Sea Turtle. Looking for Blue confirmation.

I've seen reports of GMs saying that it is obtainable in ANY Northrend body of water. Not just pools.

But, many GMs are wrong on a consistent basis and the only way to get any actual answers are to get some blue text from developers etc.

So, before I waste away a good couple hundred hours or so just fishing for a mount that I might not be able to even get where I'm planning on fishing, can I get any Blue to confirm it for me, whether it is ONLY from Northrend Pools, or in Pools AND any Bodies of water.

Please, and thanks a bunch in advance.

Edit: It was late and I was tired. Where I say pool, I mean school of fish.

Is it just in schools, or can it be in open bodies.

Edit Edit: Open bodies meaning not in a school, whether it be ocean, lake, river or pond. Does it have to be in a school.

Thanks Mr. Blue, again. =]

I'll look into it and get you an answer soon, probably sometime tomorrow.

Alright, thank you very much sir. Very very much.

Until then, I'll stick to my pools for a while.

You're very welcome.

Why? Do we already know everything?

I haven't met me from the future yet, and I'm pretty sure I would have come back to tell myself winning lotto numbers and market trends for the next 10 years or so. That being the case, I'm guessing it's not discovered in my lifetime and/or made mainstream.

I'm sure if you met your future self, you'd probably ask for the answer to this question, right? Save you the trouble of asking one of the devs about it. :P

Anywho, I've asked every single one of the people that I know of who has the turtle where they got it, and they've all said fish pools. That's probably what they were aiming for, considering the current information, so I don't have a definite answer either.

Oh, the questions we'd all ask ourselves from the future. Why, if time travel were possible, I daresay there would be very little need for this particular brand of service. You'd just ask your future self, "Self, what happens in WoW in a month?" and your future self would give you the lowdown. Then, you would look down on the earth from your orbital space home, with features garnered from the year 3000, and decide whether or not to replicate yourself some food from the matter conversion unit.

Not necessarily. As one comes closer to traveling at the speed of light, time slows down. In theory, if one were to travel at the speed of light, time would stop completely.

For the object or objects traveling at or near the speed of light. Thus, they would perceive that they had traveled into the future. This effect is actually documented via international flights. Still not as cool as the Bell Theorem, though.

I'm not latching on to any wishful thinking. I'm just curious, I want to know, get it settled. Patch notes say pools, show me where pools is used before? Not nodes or schools which has been used as the more 'correct' terms for a 'pool' of fish.

And all reports are only from schools because that is what they were aiming for, the people weren't fishing in open water expecting to get the turtle, so there is where its wrong to say that its only from schools.

Let Mr. Blue just answer the question then we can sticky this or somethin for further time travel discussion.

The word from on high is thus: "The Turtle mount should, currently, only be found in pools throughout Northrend."

The Achievement: "Turtles All the Way Down - Fish up a Sea Turtle mount from any fishing pool in Northrend. "

Seems pretty clear to me, what was the point of this thread? To fish up a blue?

There has been some genuine confusion on this topic, largely due to reports of players receiving the Turtle Mount from something other than a pool. Hopefully, this alleviates some of that confusion. We're also looking into the legitimacy of claims to have acquired the mount, from other bodies of water.
