which says arena points are lost upon lvling to 71, just to make sure it was accurate I filed a petition and received this response:

Petition: Hello, I've been saving arena points at 70, was going to buy gear for lvl 80 but found I couldnt, I figured Id just save the points til I hit 80, but was just told upon lvl to 71 ill lose all my points, is this true??
Answer: The only time that arena points are reset is at the beginning a new season. It is not based on your level in any way.

Can you please clarify which answer is correct? If the post is correct and the GM wrong, should really inform them, if I were to level up based on her response and lose my points I'd be losing a months worth of work.
