DOZENS of GLADIATORS' responses to GC's post

For those of you who do not know about or follow Arenajunkies, dozens of former gladiators have chimed in on their forums reg. GC's statement: "We don't think burst is a problem in PvP right now."

The thread was promptly locked on AJ (possibly because the response was overwhelmingly negative I guess). Anyway, I have taken quotes from the thread to put here.


What you need to know prior to reading:

1.) EVERY single quote is from a former gladiator, multiple former gladiator, former rank 1 (merciless, vengeful, brutal, deadly) gladiator, and/or current gladiator.

2.) No 2 quotes are from the same person.

3.) The quotes came from nearly every class in the game, including the "OP" melee classes, etc.

Ok, many times ghostcrawler quotes are just taken out of context or people twist them to make them sound like something else.

But honestly - its impossible to come out with something different out of this one.

classes that are balanced to be able to reliably kill something in 2v2 without an MS, minimal CC, and a healing class for a partner, will never translate to 3v3 or 5v5 without spawning ridiculously broken burst comps.

I really think it's time for people to tell Blizzard in no uncertain terms that burst IS NOT fine right now.

Playing a ret paladin I dont find it fun that I can 100% anything other than a Rdruid of a dpriest in a HoJ. I dont enjoy that simply using a swing timer to coordinate my specials to land at the same time as my autos, I can take 80% of someones health in a global.
How can burst not be a problem when so many matches are wholly decided by singple rng strings. Sure this happened in tbc, but it didnt have such a game changing impact as generally, they could be kept alive through some hardcore rng.
The situation is worse when classes that have no MS or interupt are still around. Because the only way for such classes to be 'viable' is by giving them the potential to essentially oenshot people before healing can be received.
Lower all damage please, and give classes who draw thier viability from insane damage some other tools to get kills instead.

Backstory: Jones = Senoj, a DK who was streaming in Xfire earlier doing rank 1 2v2's. He typically wins by blowing people up with triple 8k+ Frost strikes during a strangulate/hungering cold. He has just about best in slot gear.
