Recruit a Friend Trial Cap?

Hi, I recently recruited one of my friends, and I'm helping them out and leveling together and they decided to upgrade their account (yay!). So they've upgraded, but we noticed that they still are unable to trade or get experience past level 20. We started 4 days ago, so the original trail period hasn't technically ended, but they've already upgraded... Are we expected to stop playing for 6 days until the trial ends and retail account begins? or is there any way around this so we can continue and keep my friend interested?

Trial accounts possess a level and skill cap of 20 and 100, respectively; however, if such accounts are upgraded (even if digitally), these caps should dissipate immediately, allowing full access to normal character progression. Chat and access to public amenities would still be restricted for up 72 hours if the upgrade was digital, though.

Did you refer the friend in question from your posting account, Fatigue?

Help me too! I just upgrade my account but I can't use my mail ><

This is normal. :)

While you are free to level past 20 and skill up past 100, access to public chat channels and various amenities (mailboxes, auction houses, etc) will be restricted until payment for your digital upgrade is finalized. This can take up to 72 hours.

Yea, we upgraded online. Didn't know about the 3 day wait. Is there an alternative method to upgrade and have the effects instant?

If one enters a key from a boxed copy purchased, all trial restrictions will dissipates within 24 hours (most are removed immediately, though).

What's the other method of upgrading besides digitally? Do you mean going out to buy the game in a store and bringing the keys home?

There are indeed pros and cons to every choice, Slingery. It's all about what fits your play and lifestyle best. :)
