Ticketed item removed from the game?

Hello

On Sunday of last week there was an item that dropped off of a boss in Ulduar that was looted to the wrong person. After a conversation between the person and I a ticket was made for the item and GM said he'd take care of it. On monday the said person had the item removed from his bag and we haven't heard of it since. It is now heading into the 4th day since the raid and the item has not shown up in the mail. Does blizzard sometimes remove items and not give them back for unknown reasons? I just want to know so I can stop wasting time in front of the mailbox out of desperation.

Since you have a special character in your name, this is probably something to follow up on.

An item removed from one player should be immediately sent to the correct party.

Could you please put a petition in on this. You'll need to specify who the player was that had the item, and I really don't want you to post that here in a public forum.

Just make sure you are clear in your petition that this was already done - and that you have not received the item.

Q u o t e:

HMm, sure does sound like Blizz stuffed up here. How does a level 19 get eligible for Ulduar boss loot? As such, why is encumbant on the player to follow this up further? They've brought it here, which is where I thought folks are meant to go when they get sucky service and were after a proper human response and fix up, rather than the whinge in a survey and a complaint to wowgm-feedback@?

Kanty, please don't try to live up to your name this morning, k?

Thanks.

I asked a petition be put in because to followup on this properly we need information I'd just as soon not be splashed across a public forum.

No he's right.

How did my item (yes it was on Calamïty, my deathknight) go to a lvl 19 shaman?

I never said it did. We need to research this from the sending end, and that information really isn't appropriate to post on a public forum when it's another party involved.

So that we may cease the unnecessary vitriol and perhaps gain a more constructive edge: The item in question has not yet been reassigned or removed from any character's inventory.

Teücer, I would encourage you to speak to those parties involved once more and ensure that you've each come to an equal understanding of what's desired for this item.

Unfortunately, we've not yet received enough information to process an item transfer, Calamïty. So, should the owner of the item in question still wish to have it transferred to you, it'd be best for him to open a new petition—or just email us at [email protected]—and ensure that the following information is included:

Name of the item (full name)
Name and realm of the item's current owner
Approximate time of the item's reception (date and time of day, if possible)
From which instance and which boss the item dropped (specify 10m or 25m)
Name and realm of the intended recipient
Permission to use a limited restoration, if necessary (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=2971965653&sid=1#1)

It seems there was some confusion here regarding what needed to be provided to our department and when, and for that I do sincerely apologize. Our in-game representatives will be happy to assist to the fullest of their abilities, though, provided that the above gets shipped our way. :)

Q u o t e:
What does restoring characters have to do with the item?

The post in question better qualifies what a "limited restoration" is and how it may affect future restorations or services. :)

Q u o t e:
There does not exist a tangible or set "number" of limited restorations, my friend; they are simply a guideline by which our department can record previous restorations, and to which we can regularly refer to ensure that a particular player is not making light of our assistance. We value context, and will take all mitigating factors in to consideration before proceeding; thus, we ask permission before consuming a limited restore, as its use will weigh in on future decisions.

With that said, you've my apologies that this situation has been so frustrating for you, Calamïty. Our procedures do have purpose, though, and are aimed at inconveniencing the fewest parties possible.

To expand: By requesting that the item's current owner submit a request, we're not only ensuring that the owner is actually willing to relinquish ownership, but are reducing the number of parties we need to contact as a result. This makes the process much more streamlined and thus allows us to transfer the item in question with greater speed. We realize that many of those items needing transfer are massive upgrades and so want to get them to the proper characters as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Also, rather than emailing [email protected] in this situation, go ahead and have the current owner send the noted information (from my previous post) to [email protected]. Thanks!

I just spoke with him -online- and he told me that he didn't know how to make ï so we don't know where you guys sent the item. This is currently changing events so I'll post again once I've spoken to him a bit more.

Again, we've neither removed nor reassigned the item in question (the one you listed within your peition), Calamïty. It remains within its owner's inventory at this time.

Should the owner not be able to see this item himself at this time, that's fine—a bit strange*, but still fine—as we can see the item without issue within our internal records. The most important thing right now is for the owner, if he still wishes this item to be transferred, to submit the information I've described using one of the methods I've listed.

* If the item cannot be seen, it may be prudent to go ahead and try the following troubleshooting steps: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20377

Or, just describe the letter (an i with two dots over it) in the ticket box and the GMs will be able to figure it out from there. :)

Yup!
