Resto druids are likely going to be nerfed, think its pretty inevitable. But honestly i question the need for the nerfs.

Every other non druid healer is calling for nerfs for our class yet no one has yet to answer my question - How are Resto Druids OP outside of 2s. Alot probably has to do with the fact that they arent.

Another thing is healers call for nerfs based on our high representation in 2s, and cites certain statistics yet chooses to ignore other.

Most people are calling nerfs due to this
Top 2 2's Team
Druid/Warrior -16.8%
Dk/Druid - 15.8%

Well here have a look at this

2vs2 - Spec Representation
16.8% - Resto Druid
12.3% - Disc Priest

3vs3
12.2% - Disc Priest
7.9% - Resto Druid

5vs5
12.9% - Disc Priest - The amazing thing here is its higher than resto shammies, the healer thats been most represented healer for 5s for a long time
6.5% - Druid - not resto druid

Overall Representation
26% Disc Priest
14% Resto Druid

If your argument druid/x comps take up too much representation for one bracket then i present you with this statistic:

RMP - 22.4% next comp is 8.2%

In a bracket where they can be more varieties of comp. ONE comp holds 22.4%. Nerf Priest? Nerf Rogues? Nerf Mages?

So why nerf resto druids? If your calling for nerfs against resto druids why dont you also call for nerfs against Disc Priest ? Seems to me they are not only doing well in 2s but there overall representation wouid indicate that they are OP.

As we have hinted at several times, part of the problem is the over-emphasis of the 2s bracket. It's easier to organize and more-rewarding -- we get that. We also think it's a problem.

The 2s are just never going to be as balanced as larger brackets. When you only have 2 players on your team you are always going to be at the mercy of a really strong counter-comp -- you can essentially lose as soon as the door opens and you see who's on the other side. Fixing this involves doing a lot of things we don't want to do, such as compressing even more abilities into every class so that you can be assured of having a really large toolbox (Mortal Strike, non-physical damage, Dispel Magic, roots, non-DR CC, etc. etc.) even with just two characters.

A lot of the "dominance" problems that we see and that players complain about go away when you look at the 3s bracket (not there aren't problems that replace them, like the abundance of RMP).
