Is this what Battle.net is all about?

So I recently transferred to this server because of bad progression on my old one, and had begun working on various alts in my offtime. However, I'm lazy, so I decided that since I had two accounts and two 80's, I'd transfer my paladin to my other account so I can run myself through instances.

There is of course a cooldown on how frequently you can transfer characters, and I'm okay with that, it keeps people from disrupting the economy, and that cooldown came up today.

So I upgrade to Wrath on my other account, and start doing the forms to transfer my paladin from one account to the other, and it tells me to put in the battle.net email address for the account its being transferred to. However, I didn't have a battle.net account for the other account, so it wouldn't let me transfer.

Against my better judgement (there's been ridiculous issues with battle.net since release), I went ahead and signed up my other account for battle.net. But alas, a new error message.

This character cannot transfer to other Battle.net accounts until a 30-day waiting period has elapsed. You will be eligible to make this transfer on 06/15/2009

Seriously, this is pretty weak, and I'm not happy at all.

See, these are the kinds of things that should be posted on the FAQ's.

You mean like this, Evelaria?

http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=26163

When you merge your account into your Battle.net account, one of the things it says on the last page where you finalize these steps is:
Q u o t e:

For security reasons, you will not be able to transfer characters outside this Battle.net account for 30 days. Click here for complete details.

The "Click here" line goes directly to that article.
Q u o t e:

So is there any way around this, or do I just have to suffer due to poor documentation?

I am sorry that you missed this support article, Evelaria, but no, there is no way around this restriction.

Still not happy though.

I completely understand, Evelaria, and I am sorry that I couldn't help more.

You could merge your other account into your Battle.net account. You'd be able to transfer if you did that. The Battle.net account was intended to make managing your accounts easier by having them all under one roof, as it were.

Good luck to you. :)

Is there anyway I can still do this?

Absolutely, just log in and manage your account.

https://us.battle.net/account/management/

Under Manage my Games click on: Add a World of Warcraft® Account.

How would I go about doing this, from what I saw merging a battle.net account was final.

EDIT: After following your link, I'm getting the error of "This account has already been merged into a Battle.net account."

I'm sorry, Evelaria, I misunderstood, I thought one account had not been merged yet, the account that you wanted to transfer a character on.

If you created two separate B.net accounts and merged each account into one B.net account and would like to put them in one you'll need to contact our Billing Department tomorrow morning. They should be able to help you.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM (PDT) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.
