My trial account won't upgrade in game. help!

So I have been playing this game off and on since launch. I recentlly decided to give the game a test drive and started a 10 day trial account. So after 3 days I am nearing the cap for everything I can do on a trial account, so I go to my local store and pick up the game again. I upgrade my account by punching in the authentication keys on my account page and proceed to download the full game and all of its patches.

I log in and think everything is A-OK!

Wrong, I cannot speak in general chat, nor can I check my mail or do anything that someone on a trial account can do. My trial account does have like 6 days left on it, am I not allowed to level or do anything at all until its up when my free 30 days start? Or what the heck is going on. This is absolute crap and I have been dumped on by this game before. I've been sitting in Silverpine for about 2 hours waiting for a GM to respond to my ticket and no word yet, other than they are experiencing a high level of tickets currently.

Has this happened to anyone else at all?

I am sorry for the confusion, Dzor, it may be important to note the information that you apparently missed while upgrading your account.

On the first page when you go to when you log into the account to upgrade it says something like this:

Q u o t e:
Your World of Warcraft Trial ends in 0 day(s).
If you wish to continue the epic adventure, upgrade your account below:
Trial restrictions may remain on the account for up to 72 hours.

After you click the link that says Upgrade Online Right Now! you are taken to another page where this paragraph is in a bright yellow box.

Q u o t e:
NOTE: Most trial restrictions will be removed immediately after payment information is entered for this upgrade, but some restrictions (such as certain in-game chat privileges) will remain in place until payment verification is fully complete. This may take up to 72 hours.

As you can see, though leveling restrictions should be lifted immediately the other trial restrictions can remain for up to 72 hours. Hopefully it should not take that long for your purchase to fully process.

It seems that your petition has been open for 1 hour and twelve minutes, Dzor, I'm sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you, a Game Master will be with you as soon as possible if you still require it.

Good luck.

I am not absolutely certain if the Tradeskill restrictions are lifted as well, Dzor, the the leveling restrictions are supposed to. I don't show that your account is listed as a trial account which generally means that the level restrictions are gone.

When you upgraded were you logged out of the client completely?

Can you try shutting it down and running the game from the Launcher.exe program located in the Worldfwarcraft directory?

If you do have an issue exceeding level 20, you may want to contact our Billing Department in the morning, they should be able to assist you if those permissions have not released.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM (PDT) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

Good morning folks!

We have a couple issues this morning that may seem disconnected, but are actually related. The upgrades not 'taking' are part of it.

This is something we are acutely aware of and our technicians are on it. I do apologize for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience.

While I do not currently have an ETA, we are hopeful this will be resolved shortly. I've been advised to recommend trying again in just a few hours. Alternately, should this still not resolve for you - on something such as this upgrade issue, to give our Billing Department a ring in the morning for assistance and/or further updates and instructions.
