I didn't see a thread on this so I figured I'd start one. Did anyone else get an in-game whisper from Crygil last night? Something about trying out a new mount design or program or something. The website posted was <LINK REMOVED> I think. My first thought was that it was spam, but everyone in the group I was with got whispered at exactly the same time with the same message. Can a blue shed some light on this just in case it's a ploy to get peoples accounts hacked.

Rygarius: Malicious link removed.

We do not play in the game using our CM names. If you see us using our CM names online, it's usually only on the PTR. None of us use GM powers in game either nor will we contact you in the game unless it's on the PTR as mentioned in the previous line. No Blizzard employee will ever ask you for your password. Please report anyone attempting to use scams like this so that our GM department can handle it accordingly.

In addition, official contact in game is handled by the GMs who are indicated with the small blue "blizz" next to their name in addition to the GM indication in chat.

Keep in mind the additional part I mentioned when being contacted (for those even wary of the legitimacy of people with the blue "blizz" icon,") we will never ask you to give us your password. When in doubt, don't go to the link and do what you're doing here, come and tell us about it (though better in Customer Service). If we have something legitimate that we are testing, you'll see it on the PTR. If we are running a contest, you'll see it here on the official site etc. This is why we are very careful about how and where we communicate with everyone. It's easier for you to figure out what is and isn't legitimate this way.

I hope this all helps.
