How can this happen if you weren't the one who requested it?

Well, a password reset can be done for many reasons. One of which would be if you reported your account as compromised. Part of the process usually includes the password being reset at least once.

There is also the possibility of someone obtaining your account information either by a malicious program finding its way on a computer you were using or you providing your account information to someone else.

If someone has enough information about your account they can reset your password. It would be advisable to check your system and once you have done so perhaps changing the e-mail address that is registered to the account.

It doesnt make sense, as I just opened this account for my 6 year old 2-3 weeks ago. She doesn't even have the info to log in, only I do and she isn;t able to get to a computer without us putting in the parental password allowing her access to the PC.

I assume you are indicating the account with the level 32 Gnome Mage, Listera? It appears we received a report that the account may have been compromised. The password was reset just to make sure that the registered user was in control of the account.

I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this may have caused you.
