The rest of the Death Knights and I met up for a meeting in the boardroom. We had our usual insightful discussion about the merits of the class, but then we got down to the important topic: Frost Presence. Now we respect your tough approach to negotiating, Mr. Crawler, but you definitely started waaaaaaaay too low.

We'll accept a drop to 75% bonus armor. We know you need to reply with a lower number, and that's fine, but start adding some sugar to the deal. The boys and I are thinking buffs to our 36-point talents, perhaps even a fine pony.

When death knights have gone through four years of iteration like the other classes, we will probably be more sympathetic to concerns that they change too much. :)

Q u o t e:
I guess I'm coming from the perspective that I think you believe that if something seems OP, the DK needs to be brought back. What if the DK is properly designed based on 4 years of history / data already and it's the established classes that you haven't wanted to overhaul / adjust so severely are the classes in need of tuning? What if?

You are arguing that the DKs should be the target and all of the other tanks should be buffed. But the error in that logic is that we decide how difficult the bosses should be and we think the DKs make them too easy (depending on the boss). That doesn't mean the problem was just relative (DKs were better than warriors). That means the problem was also absolute (you were too good).

But really my initial quote wasn't about whether DKs were OP or not. It was that the DK is a new class with new mechanics and abilities and is going to change over time more than the existing classes that have already seen years of evolution (usually forward, sometimes back) in their design. Whether or not you feel that should be the case I'm here to tell you it is the case. :)
