Meh. Cant wait for the QQ fest that content is too easy. Until you do the content yourself the content is not "easy". Grats to them

I'd like to congratulate them. I had a chance to take a peek at an attempt on 25-player Algalon in recent weeks. It is quite the accomplishment to annihilate he who feeds on tears.

Q u o t e:

Part of the Ensidia deal includes a Blizzard only live feed for raids.

Also, he makes that spelling mistake a lot.

Fixed. :(

I would be absolutely shocked if Blizzard did NOT watch raids periodically to see how players approach defeating content, especially content that doesn't have a lot of strategy guides and video already done up on them. Watching how the cutting edge guilds approach world firsts gives an early glimpse if something is not "working as intended" so it can be hotfixed or patched before the majority of the community runs into a problem, or takes advantage of an exploit.

Pretty much this. It's quite high profile if a guild is about to be the first in the world to kill a boss, and we occasionally might check it out to see how they're doing and what in the encounter, if anything, might need additional review.

Not that this would be admitted, but I wonder if blizzard would intervene if there was a glaringly obvious bug and would cause the boss to be downed on the first shot.

Never. The goal would be to fix the bug, not intervene and change the outcome of the attempt.

And for those wondering, none of the raid groups ever know we're watching. It was a situation where someone was keeping tabs and called a few others into the office to check it out. :)

Did you guys cheer when they downed him?

I probably would have out of nerd love.

When I watched the group wiped at around 10-15% with 20 seconds or so left on his timer for the week. :(

It wasn't this week.
