so far i have

: 2 active wow accounts linked together (i can summon) etc,
: Started 2x undead alts, grouped up right after cinematic.
: started killing mobs, noticed not getting triple xp

Also the xp bar says normal experience 100%. and is purple. Idk if 3x xp has a different color bar.

The experience bar will show the normal experience rate or any rested state, it does not show the triple experience bonus from Recruit-A-Friend.

You should see the triple experience calculated seperately. If you check the combat log after the kill it should show the experience gain, then have a note on how much was triple experience. Do you not see that showing up in the combat log, Luminos?

To confirm, your 2 undead characters are the only ones in the group, and you are only killing mobs of the same level range as you? If they are new it would be hard to kill mobs of a lower level, I know :)

Q u o t e:
thank you i am receiving the triple xp

now i have a new question if both alts are already lvl 3 shouldn't i be able to grant a lvl to the veteran?

or can u only do it at cerain locations.

Glad to hear you are getting the triple experience :)

As others have mentioned, you can only grant levels to characters that are lower than you, you would be unable to level someone up to a higher level than you.

(you gain 120 exp + 80 RaF bonus)

If this is exactly what your Combat Log says, Xxiv, then you're receiving the appropriate amount of experience. The creature in question is worth 40 experience while partied. When tripled, it's worth 120 experience (40 x 3).

To note, the Combat Log entry follows this format:
“Player gains ‘X’ experience (‘Y’ exp Refer-A-Friend bonus)”

The “X” value represents the total amount of experience gained, while the “Y” value represents how much extra experience is gained as a result of the Recruit-A-Friend promotion. 120 was the total experience and 80 was how much extra experience you gained (120 - 40). :)

i was confused cause when i left the party to test it i got more exp then when i was in party

Sometimes that can happen since all mob experience is divided between party members. It's usually particularly noticeable if you've rested XP saved up.

The greatest boost you'll receive if through quest turn-ins, though. These turn-ins are not divided between party members and will still receive the triple XP boost if they qualify. :)
