So, whats the deal with the Mysterious Egg?

ive been opening this little eggs since around 2 weeks after the expack came online =)
so far ive got 2 diferent pets several times and lots of food
some of my friends however have gotten the proto-drake more then once no matter you cant even use it again on the same toon

so was wondering if (and sorry if theres another post about it) but ... if the drop rates on this are somehow wrong
i mean whats the point of getting a proto-drake in the egg if you already have it
and what about all the people who havent get it yet, keep getting food

The drops out of the Mysterious Egg are random. Each week it opens it can be any of the things it drops. So yes, some people will see the mount multiple times, some people won't see it for a long long time.
