So im running VOA 25 Man the other day MONDAY. On arthas server.
Tier 8 tanking legs drop for DK.
Raid leader ---> Woops sent it to this Priest by accident !

Ok guys roll for it !

Im the only person that rolls. yay! pants for me.
" Well just open up a petition here hmm ok "

So anyways, Gm finally talks to me, says the petition must be open by the player whos holding that item.
So i talk to the guy, seems cool about it, says he opens a ticket for me.
He talks to a Gm says could take up to a week. No problem !

Couple days pass by, ok i open a ticket. hey whats the status on them pants Mr. GM ??

Gm's name is [Removed]. He says
: you might want to ask the other Death Knight in the raid if he knows what has come of the item.

OTHER DEATH KNIGHT!??!?! !?!?!?

Then he says: You must check with the Raid LEader on this issue.

---- Im sorry but the item gets sent to the player who was mentioned in the original petition.

WHAT THE HELL !!!

So Blizzard tells me 1. Person with that item needs to send the petition.
then 2. They do what the RAID LEADER's petition said, (WICH GAVE IT TO ONE OF HIS FRIEND'S DK INSTEAD OF ME!!!!! )

GET YOU STORY STRAIGHT BLIZZZARD WHAT THE HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im cancelling my account. screw blizzard !

Which is absolutely true. We must receive the request from the person who has possession of the item.

Actually that is incorrect. I apologize for the confusion here but the item was granted to the person who was named in the item holders petition. We looked at the request from the person with the item verified that the person they wanted the item to go to qualified for the item, removed it from the petitioners inventory and awarded it to the proper person.

I am sorry for that you were unable to get this item this time around. If you decide to stick around I wish you good luck in obtaining the item in the future.

the person who got the pants, opened a ticket, and requested my name be given them.

Well at the same time, UNKNOWINGLY a third party (raid leader) decided to submit one that his friend, a DK, who did not roll for the pants, be given them instead !!!!

Incorrect.

We do not award mislooted items based on what the Master Looter or Raid Leader says. Only in cases where the Boss was unable to be looted would be accept a request from the Master Looter or Raid Leader.

No petition was submitted by the Raid Leader/Master Looter regarding this case.

So that you guys ( BLUE ) Are telling me is... I can go into a raid, get loot that other people rolled for, but then turn around, and have a Gm give that BOP loot to someone else that never even rolled for it.

As long as they qualify for the item (i.e. were there for the kill). Yes. If you receive loot that may have been intended for someone else but the Master Looter made an error you could request that it is given to another member of the raid.

Q u o t e:
That person was probly NOT involved in that raid.

That person qualified because they were there for the raid and they were there for the kill.
Q u o t e:

That person did not originally roll for that item.

That does not matter. If your looting option is Master Looter then it is the Master Looter who decides who gets what item not what you roll.

Your Master Looter made an error and gave it to someone else. The item is now that person's to do with as they see fit. They put in a petition to request that the item was transferred, we investigated the matter and verified that the person name qualified for it, so we granted the request.
Q u o t e:

Blizzard, if you were to do your job, you would check the chat logs from that raid, and you would see that, oh look, Leviathan rolled after the raid leader said: ROLL.
And I won it, the raid leader then said, submit a ticket.
wich was done.
Great.
Then they submit a ticket to give it to someone else.

We did do our jobs, Leviathan, and I went over how it works.

If you want to receive the item that you roll and win I highly recommend using the Group Loot or Need before Greed method of looting. If you use the Master Looter method it does not matter what number shows up after you type /random 100, it is still up to the Master Looter to give the item to whomever they want to.

Again I'm sorry that you were unable to receive these pants at this time, Leviathan, but we will be unable to give you these items at your request. The request could have only been made by the person who had the item.
