Q u o t e:
You said you were going to up the amount when you did this, not totally bork the amount given to thirds, equal and halves.
If you used to do the dailies every day of the week, you are correct in recognizing that the change to a weekly format will result in less honor and Stone Keeper's Shards for you. We never stated otherwise.
Q u o t e:
since doing 10-15 mins a day of WG was so totally taking away from the bg's? This change is not okay, it is not acceptable.
It's not the final act for us as far as Wintergrasp is concerned. We'd like to improve upon the system to keep the zone appealing but functional. We still feel this is a good first step for better spreading realm populations out in Wintergrasp over the course of a week. We will be closely monitoring realm performance as well as continued interest in Wintergrasp now that these changes are live.
Q u o t e:
They succeeded in once again taking the easy way out, rather than upgrading their hardware and dealing with the lag, the bork it so no one wants to play it at all.
You might be right that technology could ultimately alleviate stability issues that result from an excess number of players in Wintergrasp at any given time. Acquiring and implementing any sort of changes to realm hardware is a process that takes several months. The last major overhaul we had for our realms took over a year to complete from the time it was planned.
While that may be an option, we're going to continue to look at other ways to make the zone fun and appealing, but more playable from a performance stand point. The changes made in 3.1.2, we feel, are to that end.
Q u o t e:
People should stop being fanbois and actually be mad about this. When will they stop, if this is a good solution to them? What will be next?
Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria!
