WTF/Cache Folder's not reappearing??

My friend's having an issue with WoW, I know this is a bit silly but we're trying to edit something in the WTF folder but it's not even there, we're running wow.exe from this folder ( not a shortcut ) and no other, but theirs no WTF Or Cache folder yet his video settings ect are fully 100% intact like they where still there or something.\

Normaly I wouldn't give a crap but we actually want to be able to see these folder's, even searching my whole comp for any thing with the word Cache in it or WTF i get 0 results ( almost )

TLDR: Why isn't the WTF Folder and Cache folder reappearing ( i mean we deleted it a bit ago )

Is he running Vista by chance? Vista plays some nasty tricks and will keep those files in backups.

They should recreate when he reloads WoW if they truly exist nowhere.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.
