Regarding Nerfs - No equality in nerfs.

Nerfs are fine, if they are necessary. But when certain classes stay unnerfed while other things get immediate nerfs ( hunters, engineering ), there really is no justification.

The fact is now, classes with the most anti-snare/gap closing abilities (melee) now have a bigger advantage over those who actually need it (healers, hunters). Nitro boots were not a problem. If you saw it as one, then racials also need to be removed. There had been many games when arcane torrent, or wotf, or X racial has caused games to shift in the favor of the other team. The reason and logic here is flawed and the solution is incomplete.

Basically, if engineering nitro boots were somehow too overpowered in arena that caused an imbalanced shift in the playing style and 'fun' factor, then racials are too. they should also be removed from arena.

EDIT: this is strictly a profession/racial discussion. im not even talking about the imbalances of melee zerg/snare capabiltities and hunter underpoweredness.

Despite many claims to the contrary, we don't play favorites. When we make a hotfix especially those are done with only internal testing. We certainly test them internally to the best of our ability, but they are not going up on the PTR for exposure to the community. As a result, sometimes we overnerf or undernerf something. Just because your class was overnerfed while another class may be under-nerfed does not mean they received preferential treatment. It just means we didn't hit the target we wanted.

Players often read too much into intent when they say things like "X is being handled with kid gloves" or "Y was a knee-jerk reaction." Anyone who thought about it for a few minutes would realize it's in our best interest to try to keep things feeling equitable, which coincidentally also maps exactly to our stated goals.

While it would be an interesting experiment perhaps if the classes, races or tradeskills carried tooltips like "You are designed to be the most powerful class in the game," I'm pretty convinced the game would also have much shorter legs (and very few other classes). :)
