Stuck at "Authenticating"

Just tried loggin on and every time I try, the loading thingy gets stuck at "Authenticating". This has never happened with this computer or account before so if anyone could help that would be awesome. Just want to play some WoW...

UPDATE: It now says that it can't log me into World of Warcraft at this time. It worked fine about fifteen minutes ago.

One other thing: What's with the whole gear manager? It has ten slots and for a full gear switch (minus the tabard and shirt), you have to switch out sixteen peices... Is Blizzard missing something or am I missing something?

For those who may have joined this thread late: We are presently aware of Authenticating issues affecting players at client login. We've no ETA to provide at this time; however, we are diligently pushing towards resolution and hope to get this cleared up ASAP.

Update: We believe we've identified the source of this issue and are working to implement resolution at this time. Please note that this process is not immediate and may cause you to receive different error messages at client login.

Again, we've no ETA, but wish to get you back in the game just as soon as possible. Thank you all for feedback and patience in the meantime. Once I've any new information to provide, I'll do so herein. :)

Authentication issues should be resolved; however, if you are unable to log in and are still receiving an error message during your attempts, please let me know. If possible, include the exact error message, as well.

Interesting. Does this persist if you exit out of the client completely and then relog?

For those stuck at loading screens, this may be due to incredibly high traffic. I've forwarded on the information for further review, but this may be something best resolved with time.

I'll let you know. Just keep me updated as to statuses as possible. :)
