Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

We’re happy to announce the launch of Equipment Manager, a new feature aimed to simplify gear maintenance. Using this feature, you can now create entire gear sets and save them to action bar hotkeys with just a few point and clicks. Whether you’re a hybrid class, an avid PvE and PvP participant, or just a fishing enthusiast, switching out your gear has never been easier.

How do I turn on on Equipment Manager?
In order to use Equipment Manager, you must first enable the feature. This can be done by checking the “Use Equipment Manager” box within the Controls tab of your Interface menu.

How do I access it once it’s enabled?
Equipment Manager may be accessed through the Character pane (default: “C”). If Equipment Manager is enabled, a small armor icon will appear in the top right-hand corner of the pane. Clicking on this icon will allow you to begin the equipment management process.

If the armor icon is absent, please ensure that you’ve enabled this feature properly within your Interface menu.

How do I create a set?
To create and save a gear set, first equip those items you wish included in a specific set. Once all items are equipped, bring up the Equipment Manager interface and click on the “Save” button. After you’ve saved your set, select a name and icon to represent it. This set will now appear within your gear set list under the selected name and icon.

How do I update or modify an existing gear set?
To update or modify an existing gear set, bring up the Equipment Manager interface and equip the set you wish to adjust. Once you’ve completed any desired changes, click on the “Save” button. When asked to name this set, enter its current name. Doing so will prompt you with a dialog box confirming your changes; select “Yes” if you wish to update your set or “No” if you do not.

How do I equip different gear sets?
To switch between different gear sets, open the Equipment Manager interface and click on the icon which represents the set you wish to equip. This will automatically change out your armor and weaponry. If you wish to access your gear sets quickly, simply drag the icon onto any action bar slot for easy access.

Please note that in order for items within a gear set to auto-equip appropriately, they must be in your character’s inventory. This will not include items within your bank unless you have the banking interface open at the time of the switch.

How do I switch out individual items?
To quickly switch out single items, open up your Character pane (default: “C”) while Equipment Manager is enabled. Hold down the Alt key and hover over the item you wish to replace; this will bring up a small window next to the highlighted item that will list all available replacements for that slot. Click on the desired item within the window to complete the swap.

As with full set switching, individuals items may only be replaced via Equipment Manager if they are in your character’s inventory or if you are interacting with the banking interface at the time of the switch.

What happens if the items I want to equip are in the bank, but I don’t have the banking interface open at the time of a gear switch?
If any items in a set are in your bank and you do not have the banking interface open at the time of a gear switch, you will receive the message “One or More Items From Set <Set Name Here> were missing and could not be equipped” and the switch will not complete.

What happens if I don’t possess enough bag space at the time of a gear switch?
If you do not possess enough bag space to accommodate items being unequipped by a gear switch, you will receive the message “Equipment swap Failed, Inventory is full” and the switch will not complete.

When can I not complete a gear switch?
You will be unable to complete a gear switch if you are:
  • Dead
  • Casting
  • On a taxi mount
  • In combat *

Bag space and banking interface restrictions will apply in addition to those listed above. *Also, if you are in combat and initiate a gear switch, your weapons will still exchange as normal; however, remaining items of the selected set will not switch out completely until you’ve exited combat.
