Language Policy

I understand that the Blizzard Terms of Use regarding naughty words is concisely spelled out. However, should a person be banned when there are tools available to prevent the audio-virgins from being tarnished by profanity? According to the policy, an "easily offended" player can use the Ignore command. In addition, the language filter is defaulted to "On".

So, if a player willingly turns it off, and then gets offended because they hear something taboo, do they have the right to complain? I do not think they do. A person cannot go into a strip club and say "OMG! There are naked girls here". Why should they be able to complain about language when they WILLINGLY turned off the filter, AND refused to use the Ignore command.

I think any player that complains in this manner should have THEIR account banned because they are too stupid to play anyway. Any thoughts?

Q u o t e:

The rules are clear.

Use of Vulgar language in any channel is not allowed.

^^ This.

The filter is extra protection, no one is obligated to use it.

And.....we are done here.
