Severe lag problems on Frostmane

Lately our server has been experiencing severe lag during the evenings (it usually starts between 8 and 9 pm eastern time and then continues for several hours). Like everyone, we have dealt with our fair share of lag and live with it. Expecting to never have lag is unrealistic. The lag that we have been experiencing for the past few weeks however, is far from normal. As soon as the lag starts, Ulduar becomes completely unplayable. It's hard to work on hard mode encounters when heals take 5-6 seconds to land after their cast times finish.

Needless to say, calling this an "extreme annoyance" would be putting it mildly. Our guild alone has 51 accounts with 102 players, and many of us have other alts. After several weeks, it appears that our only option is to transfer to a server that does not experience this issue. Our guild is not alone in reaching this conclusion, and others that I have spoken to on both our server and other servers experiencing similar problems have felt the same way. It seems unreasonable to expect to pay a monthly fee to play this game and then to have to pay for server transfers when it becomes unplayable by no fault of our own.

With our raiding time cut down to somewhere between 1-2 hours (on a good night) due to this, we would greatly appreciate any advice on what (if anything) we may do to resolve this. If it is indeed out of our hands, as it appears to be, should we expect it to be addressed and fixed anytime in the near future? Is there any possibility of providing us with free transfers to a server that doesn't have this problem? As I stated before, we are not the only guild on Frostmane that is considering a server transfer as a result of this. If we resort to a server transfer, it would involve easily over 100 characters. I imagine that the case is the same for the other guilds here. For many of us, the expense of transferring a main plus alts to a new server is more than we can afford or justify spending currently. Any input on potential resolutions or server transfer options would be greatly appreciated.

I realize that such issues are difficult to resolve, and of course none of us expect an overnight solution. Any input or an acknowledgment that there is a problem and a solution is coming would work wonders to put us at ease.
