My name is Honeypants, I am a transmog aficionado/mogoholic with a website dedicated to a lot of the mogs that I've done for about 3 years now, along with screenshots of local moggers. I used to post a lot of screenshots of my transmogs in various locations. Most of the locations for my screenshots had a lot of thought put into them, as I would try to think back in my travels in Azeroth to find a locale that might accentuate my characters transmog.
Pre-Warlords I was able to Alt + Z and hover over my character (or target another player) to "illuminate" them while taking a screenshot. This made for brighter character pictures in screenshots, and meant I could take screenshots virtually anywhere. Post Warlords however that changed. I can't have myself or anyone else targeted and hit Alt + Z, as we all go "darker". This means our characters are less illustrious and kind of wash away in the background, especially if the location is in a darker area with no direct sunlight. The only way to remotely take a better picture is to use the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera, which alas does not show my entire mog.
I'm sure this has something to do with the way players/mobs are illuminated now when you target them. To be fair I have gravitated towards the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera and starting posting more in the Twitter-verse than on my website, but I miss the old screenshots. Sometimes I work pretty hard on my transmogs, and I like sharing :)
QUESTION(s):
-Is there a workaround to this or some sort of command I can type to have a character be more illuminated?
-Is this something that can be fixed in the future?
-If there is no workaround or a fix, can I suggest making a S.E.L.F.I.E. stick to fit more of my glorious transmogs in the picture?
Thank you so much for any help or input!
