for the past 2-3 days there has been a lvl 80 druid rooftop camping in sholazar at nessies main camp.

I have opened a ticket and spoke with a GM twice. one time I actually spoke with a person the other was too late.

I was told this is not o.k. to do. but the player is still there. even today day 4 the BF just callled and told me he was there.

what else can we do. its making it really hard to do anything for many people.

yes we gang up on him and he flys off for 10-15 min then is just right back.

Players may participate in rooftop combat in areas wherein flying mounts are available—this includes the majority of Northrend and Outland. Such an activity is strictly forbidden within the Old World, however, and in situations where terrain exploitation is required to achieve the vantage point.

Please feel free to report any questionable behavior to our Game Master staff, though; we will be happy to look into the matter further and take all appropriate action. :)

Normal harassment rules will still apply, Shamanigans. Please keep that in mind and do not work to diminish the gaming experience of others. :)

Rooftop combat is not permitted within the Old World on any realm. It would be best to stick with land-based assaults while traveling through Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

Q u o t e:
if the offending party is standing where guards do not agro exploiting the terrain is that not wrong? as in the part of the boat that is sticking up over the camp?

Can that location be accessed normally through the use of a flying mount or character pathing? If so, combat is permitted.

Q u o t e:
a part of you post quoted here : and in situations where terrain exploitation is required to achieve the vantage point.

This qualification is meant to encompass those areas of Northrend or Outland which cannot be accessed through the use of a flying mount or normal character pathing.

Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley, Warsong Gulch, Eye of the Storm, etc—as you cannot use flying mounts in these battlegrounds, rooftop combat is not permitted. :)

I on a regular basis go up on the roof top in Southshore. Because all i have to do is jump on the mail box and then onto roof I was wondering if it was a Terrain exploit.

Fighting from this location is not permitted, Randalthorr, regardless of LOS, accessibility, or convenience. In the Old World, as well as any other area or zone which does not permit flying mounts, rooftop combat is a no-go. You've my sincere apologies for any confusion.

Use this restriction as an excuse to get all up in someone's grill and enjoy a floor view of Southshore/Tarren Mill tomfoolery (just be sure to have Disengage on standby). ;)
