why now?

you didnt institute anything gamebreaking with soulshards to set a cap on how many you carry, just curious why out of the blue, you decided to say how many a lock could carry

Blame the legions of idiot Warlocks that said they would have to keep manually pulling shards out their bags with the new Drain Soul mechanic. That's right. All you morons out there is what made them find this solution to the problem. Most Locks need to just shelve their character or something.

I am exactly one of those morons and love this change. >32 of anything is too many. ^.^

Ok. But does it hurt anyone if there is no cap? I myself can't keep 20 shards at one time so it doesnt matter to me. But it also doesn't matter to me if some one else wants to keep more then 32. But im not sure what the reasoning is behind this change so what do i know sheesh.

Shards are relatively easy enough to get nowadays that needing more than 32 at a time seems a bit extreme. Warlocks can now keep a 32-slot soul bag on them and not have to worry about managing inventory when drain soul is a standard part of their rotation (particularly Affliction locks). Sure, there are interface modifications out there that allow you to set a maximum amount of shards to keep; but not only do we not want warlocks to feel like they need a mod just for managing the amount of shards coming in, it can also create a bit of lag when a created item is immediately auto-destroyed.

Zarhym, the truth is the proc does not work and this mechanic just makes life more complicated.

It works. I get shards from drain soul ticks quite often.

Stacking.

This discussion isn't about that. I'd prefer not to run around in circles right now. I haven't been awake long enough.

2. If #1 is unreasonable for some reason, would it be so unfair for the Glyph of Drain Soul to *always* proc an extra shard?

I definitely wouldn't argue against seeing Glyph of Drain Soul give extra shards more often than it does at the moment.

Wait... wait....

Blizzard actually plays warlocks?! (Anyone remember how horrible we were pre-1.6?)

Of course. I just had to lie about it in my interview.

"I play a rogue. I love going around and being stealth and stuff."
