18 gig wow folder does that seam right?

So i looked at my computers memory and i saw that i have less than a gig left of memory, looked in most of my folders and wow is taking up 18 gigs worth of space... does that seam right?? i could imagine 5 or 6 but 18...
I'm thinking maybe the patches re started to download during the pre download phase?

my bf is recomending that i delete my wow folder and reinstall everything. but he might be talking out his ass so i don't know if i should do it or not.
what should i do?

The average WoW folder is going to be anywhere between 15 and 20 gigs depending on how many addons — not usually that much, but it does cause variations — you have, and if you have any patch information saved there or not.

I would recommend looking elsewhere for things to make space with, or perhaps look into investing in a larger HDD. ^_^
