The Battle For The Undercity problem

So earlier today i was about to do the quest "The Battle For The Undercity " when i went through the portal to undercity i handed in the quest i got from the king, then my group got ready and i had to hearth and go to instance.

i thought i would be able to use the portal in kings room in SW to get back, while i can see the portal i can't use it.

is there anything i can do?

oh and it was on this char Cil on Caelestrasz

If you don't have the quest that instructed you to take the portal, Cil, I'm afraid you are going to have to hoof it to Undercity to pick up where you left off.

Well worth the journey though. If the event is in mid swing you'll need to wait until it starts again, good luck!
