Hello, so today i had logged into my dk and after about 20 seconds i was dc'ed, Now i re try to log back in but now it is asking me for a 6 digit code from a Blizzard Authenticator. As confused as i was on how all of a sudden this had happened i had went and changed my pass and re tryed to log in and it still had asked me for the code.

So then i had sent a email about what happened and once i had gotten a reply i was told to fill out these forums and show a piece of ID. It just didn't make scene i had not even signed up for the Blizzard Authenticator since it is USA only atm and i live in Canada. Now waiting here for them to look over my stuff and remove this Blizzard+Authenticator from my account so i can log in i was looking up the armory and looked at myself and seen that i had absolutely nothing on.....Me knowing earlier today when i was on for 20 seconds know for a fact that i was wearing armor so leads me to think that i was hacked and they sold everything.

So am i over reacting? or is it quite possible that i was hacked with this weird Blizzard Authenticator pop up for myself?

Could you give me a character name/realm on this account? Is it the one you are posting on?

Orylia's on? Already? No... You didn't! You let Vrak and Auryk leave early to go bowling... didn't you?

DIDN'T YOU!?

No! My favorite GMs! You're gone! Come back!

...

Fine... I guess I'll settle with the panda instead.

I'll have the Teriyaki Chicken with white rice, please.

As soon as i can log in with out this Authenticator thing i will set up to b net and will defiantly buy one now...

Well, yes - the password was definitely changed and doesn't appear to have been requested from you.

That by definition is a compromise.

Someone else has been into the account.

Now, how that happened is very important. If you have malware on your system, it WILL happen again. An authenticator will keep them out of your actual play characters, just as it has kept you out today. Since they won't be able to verify they are you, they won't be able to get it taken off.

I'd recommend doing security sweeps, our sticky at the top is quite good.

I'd also recommend changing your email password at the very least, once you know your system is secured. If you are going to set up a Battle.net account for this, I'd recommend establishing a totally new and unrelated email for it that you ONLY use for WoW itself.

I do wish you the best.
