Feral dps supposed to be this high? 8-9k dps?

well, as a rogue, seeing ferals destroy all but the ranged pures in ranged favored fights seems really odd

i would hope a constructive discussion can start here about how to properly balance feral dps

if you as a rogue are getting beaten by ferals on favorable fights, you are getting outplayed, outgeared, or both - assuming he is not getting ToT or hysteria.

simulations are one thing, but until you can provide hard evidence that ferals have higher dps averages across all ulduar bosses for multiple top end guilds, you have no argument worth talking about.

Seems many people take that 5% much differently than blizzard takes it. It does not mean that every hybrid should do 5% less dps on every individual fight in the game. What it means is that overall the encounters and all aspects of end game hybrids should do 5% less that pures. That's a bit trickier of a number to read.

There is much truth to this statement.

The theoretical Feral dps suggested by simulations may be high because the reality is often different -- it's a pretty demanding spec to play and more dependent on attacks from behind than most.

We don't often see cats beating rogues. They do sometimes beat mages, locks and hunters, but that is almost always on fights where we asked the ranged dps to be doing something else, such as moving or contending with adds. There are also some early fights in Ulduar that are very friendly to kitties, such as XT and Razorscale.

It's definitely something to keep an eye on. If we made a small nerf to cat dps, nobody should be surprised, but we don't have one to announce at this time.

I'll add the standard caveat that before you lay all of the expectation at our feet to buff you or nerf someone else, make sure that there isn't anything you could be doing to improve your game. Sometimes it's us. Sometimes it's you.
