Please remove PvP achievement from Child Week

It's unbearable to pvp right now, everyone is going straight to the flag on EotS.

At this point I'm just afking myself for marks, which I really don't like to do, but I get too angry trying to make people do the right things.

This king of achievement should by no means interfere on other people's game. I only do pvp, I won't be able to play this weekend's EotS because of this achievement. This is wrong, please fix it asap. Thanks.

Children's Week lasts just one week. We may change things up for a week here and there, but even if we do this a few times throughout the year, you still have plenty of time with the BGs working just like normal.

the achievement actively discourages "working just like normal."

That's the idea. ;-)

So Bornakk did you dance with the opposite faction in their flag room too? :)

No, actually the BG I was in was still killing everything in sight which was a little odd, but I had a couple team mates come with me to leave our flag alone, someone picked it up, and paid the price a little down the ramp.

The idea is to make BGs essentially "Un-BG-able" for a week?

For the most part they still work fine, but we are okay with the experience being different for 1 week out of the year, yes.

You people really need to stop jamming PVP down our throats on these events. There is a good chnunk of yoru player base that plays for the PVE aspect of thegame and friggin despises PVP on a whole. So now you are going to once agains force the PvP haters to endure countless hours in BGs trying to get this done. Thanks a lot.

If you don't want to do it, then don't do it.

Or take it out of the meta. Problem solved for everyone.

There are no plans to take it out of the meta at this time. Let the fight for the violet proto-drake begin!

If you could pass on the players concerns about this to people who actually make decisions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We always do. And just for the record, this achievement was discussed before Children's Week started and we decided not to make any changes to it.

Some are saying that the achievement isn't fun, but that can be said for a number of other ones. I didn't particularly enjoy sitting around Dalaran looking for books to spawn for the Higher Learning achievement and pet, but I felt the end result was worth it.
